Hells Canyon Motorcycle Rally: Real Riders? ALWAYS Regrets? NEVER
Baker City is uniquely located as the connecting point of more great motorcycle roads than just about anywhere. I-84, Hwy 30, Hwy 7, Hwy 203, Hwy 245 and Hwy 86. Also close by are Hwy 244, Hwy 237, Hwy 26 Hwy 82 and the Hells Canyon, Blue Mountain and Elkhorn Scenic Byways. Let us not forget the most important road. The Devil’s Tail. This 22 mile road from Oxbow to Hells Canyon Dam is the signature ride of the rally. It could very well be the most inspiring 44 miles of your life.
Most riders will spend Saturday on the bike discovering the roads, people and scenery the surrounding areas have to offer. With four ‘courses’ to ride the variety is outstanding. Choose the Canyon Course featuring the Devil’s Tail, the Mountian Course featuring Road Rash Pass, The Valley Course featuring The Burnt River & Owyhee River valleys or the Gold Rush Course featuring Dooley Pass, Sumpter, Granite, Lehman Hot Springs and more. But they ALL return to Baker City in the early evening for people watching, bike spotting and great food with drink all over town. The atmosphere is party like with just about every kind of fun you can imagine going on till the wee hours. The Shuttle Buses will be running between all the popular watering holes and excitement fills the air.
Sunday finds most riders out exploring for a second day. When they return the atmosphere is a little more relaxed and this is when they really get taken in by this great little town. Plan now to attend this year and every year, it will change your life for the better!
